President of University of Dammam
The University of Dammam started its academic inheritance in relation to King Faisal university established by the Ministers Council decision No. 1964 dated 20/11/1394H. which was based in both AlHasa and Dammam. The university started its first year with four colleges two in Dammam and another two in AlHasa. The university began classes in Dammam in 1395-1396. In the next year it started teaching in AlHasa. This way the University of Dammam continued to develop, year after another till it accommodated 24 colleges and 116 scientific department, and 1414 faculty member.
General Objectives:
To provide the facilities for university education and postgraduate studies in different sciences, specialized knowledge and special care given to Islamic studies and research, to prepare teachers and professionals in different applied and technological sciences offering science and knowledge to uplift the social, cultural and social development sectors, and find suitable scientific solutions for them.
